How long does it take to charge a BYD Atto 3 from 10% to 80%? — ChinaEV.Autos guide

Charging times for the Atto 3 vary depending on charger power, ambient temperature and pack state. Here are the numbers you can plan a trip with.

01

DC fast-charge in ideal conditions

150 kW+ charger, pack pre-conditioned, ~20 °C ambient: 10–80% in 38–42 minutes. That's ~294 km of WLTP range added.

50 kW DC (older CCS stations): 10–80% in ~58 minutes. Still fine for a lunch stop.

02

AC home charging

7.4 kW (UK/Ireland single-phase wallbox): 0–100% in ~10 hours. Perfect for overnight.

11 kW (three-phase EU wallbox): 0–100% in ~6.5 hours. The Atto 3's OBC supports 11 kW natively.

03

Cold-weather derating

Below 5 °C without pre-conditioning, DC charging drops to ~55 kW peak until the pack warms. Setting a nav destination that includes a fast-charger triggers automatic pre-conditioning on 2024+ facelift cars.

Key takeaways
  • 0140 min DC / ~10 h AC on standard chargers.
  • 02Pre-condition in cold weather for full speed.
  • 0388 kW peak isn't fast but is consistent.
